Ford is adjusting the pricing structure for the 2027 Maverick lineup, offering significant discounts on certain trims while removing the EcoBoost turbocharged 2.0-liter engine from the base XL grade. According to order guides, the XL and Lariat trims are now hybrid-only, pushing the starting price for the turbocharged engine up to the XLT trim.
Price Drops for High-End Trims
The changes primarily benefit customers interested in the higher-performance models. The Lobo trim, which comes with the 2.0-liter engine, now starts at $34,000. That is a $3,775 reduction from the previous model year. The Lobo High trim also sees a price cut, moving to $39,000, which is $4,270 less than before.
Customers buying the Tremor trim will also find lower costs. It now carries a base price of $39,000, representing a $3,490 decrease. These adjustments make the 2.0-liter models more accessible to buyers who previously found them expensive.
Base Trim Changes
The base XL trim remains at $29,990, matching the 2026 price point. However, Ford has removed the EcoBoost engine from this configuration. The compact pickup’s engine options look a little different for 2027 than they did last year, with Ford pulling the EcoBoost turbocharged 2.0-liter from the XL and Lariat trims.

With the XL trim going hybrid-only, the least expensive Maverick equipped with the 2.0-liter is now the all-wheel-drive XLT. That model comes out to $32,890 in non-hybrid guise. This shift forces buyers of the turbocharged engine to spend more upfront to get the performance they want, even if the specific models they choose end up costing less.
