The filing, published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on September 17, 2026, describes a vehicle that lacks a traditional driver’s seat, although the text deliberately notes that the machine could operate autonomously, semi-autonomously, or manually in order to broaden the scope of protection.
The design replaces the conventional cabin with a compact enclosure that houses the forklift’s mechanical components, such as the lift mechanism and powertrain. A coupling device located at one end can link several units together, creating a train-like formation that can stack vertically or move perpendicular to one another. One unit could pivot sideways to retrieve a pallet while the others stay aligned, a feature that the patent mentions but does not detail beyond the concept of storage efficiency. The document also references extendable arms for reaching distant pallets and offers multiple axle configurations intended to improve stability on uneven surfaces.
